Lynne has been associated with the Child Care in Practice Journal since its inception in 1996 and has served on the Editorial Board as Chair and Vice-Chair for several years and has actively contributed to the Journal's development within Northern Ireland, the UK and internationally.  She regularly comments on  articles submitted for peer review and has mentored authors in submitted papers for publication.

Lynne has been an ardent supporter of the Journal since its inception in 1996 encouraging local practitioners and academics to share their practice and research findings.  Currently Vice-Chair Lynne has served on the Editorial Board for more than 20 years during which time the Journal has increased its international standing and been favourably evaluated by Taylor and Francis publishers as a leading publication for child care professionals across disciplines.
